It was great to see you all at Back to School Night last week!
Mandatory iPad Meeting TOMORROW at 3:00 in the 4th grade classroom. Please go over the AUP with your child and sign it before the meeting tomorrow. I sent extra copies home with the students today if you haven't gotten yours turned in yet. Tech fees also need to be paid before students can take home their iPads. The meeting will be brief, please be on time.
Fundraiser for Hurricane Harvey & Irma this Thursday. Students may wear free dress and get popcorn if they donate at least $5 to the cause. The money is being donated to Catholic schools effected by the storms. We've already had several generous contributions in 4th grade. Thank you in advance for supporting the cause!
Salt Relief Maps - we are doing a fun hands-on geography project in social studies this Friday. Students should have shared directions with you last night for preparing their boards and making the dough. Regular flour works much better than alternative options.
Renaissance Testing will take place on Wednesday this week and next. Please make sure your child is well rested and fed so that they can perform their best on the test.
Religion Quiz Tomorrow - this week we are practicing how to look up scripture verses and stories in the Bible. The students have a quiz tomorrow where they need to demonstrate their understanding of how to look up scripture in the Bible. A study guide went home today. I told the class if they need more help I will be available before school tomorrow for some extra practice.
Wish List - There are a few things that the class could really benefit from this school year and a few families have already volunteered to donate some of them. One important one is a subscription to IXL. It is expensive so if there is one more family who wants to pitch in, that would be awesome! Other wishlist items can be found on my website under wish list. Thanks!
Bocce Tournament - please sign up for this fun social event! I had a blast last year and would love to see lots of 4th grade representation! :) You can also support the cause by helping your child to sell their raffle tickets.
