Kindness Week
4th Grade has been having so much fun spreading the love this week for Kindness Week! We've done mini projects each day in addition to working on our kindness challenge lists. The class did a "Heart Attack" on junior high where they decorated their lockers with kind notes, inspirational quotes, Bible verses, etc. They have done a campus clean up where they helped locate the owners of sweatshirts and lunch boxes left around campus and also cleaned up trash around the lunch tables and playground. We made a Christmas Tree with beautiful ornaments and love notes for our principals and we painted beautiful kindness rocks with messages that we spread around campus. The students have made me so proud with their kind words and actions all week long!
Christmas Caroling
Thank you to Cathy Breen for bringing back a very special 4th grade tradition. We will be headed to a nursing home in Bressi Ranch called ActivCare on Tuesday, December 19th to Christmas carol and spread holiday cheer. If you are available to drive and chaperone for this event, please sign up on our class volunteer page. The students may bring Christmas accessories (Santa hats, jingle bells, etc.) to wear for this trip.
Toy Drive
Two SJA graduates, members of the National Honor Society at CCHS, are currently collecting Christmas gifts for homeless infants and children up to 16 years old. Please submit wrapped gifts indicating the approximate age and gender of the recipient to the box in the front office. Gift and cash donations can be made through December 7th. For additional information please click here. Thank you and God Bless!
Christmas Pageant Attendance
Please let Mrs. Oldham and myself know ASAP if your child will not be present for the Christmas Pageant on 12/21. Students who miss the pageant will have a make-up assignment in music class. Thank you!
Reconciliation Next Week
Please talk to your child about reconciliation before Wednesday. We will be reviewing the process and prayers in class and the students will be quizzed on Tuesday.
Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary- 4th Grade Mass
Please join us for this holy day of obligation next Friday 12/8. The 4th grade will be doing all of the readings and leading the choir. The students need to be at church between 7:30-7:45.
