Happy Veterans' Day

We will be painting our coil pots THIS Friday with acrylic paint. This paint is not washable so students should bring in a big shirt to wear over their uniform.

If you have not signed up for parent-teacher conferences please use the link below to do so.

Noon dismissal W-F next week for parent conferences. Report cards will be handed out at conferences.

All late/make-up work must be turned in by Thursday at the end of homework club. I will be working on report cards all weekend.  No work will be accepted after Thursday at 4:00 pm. My no-name pile is still very big!

SJA Canned Food Drive started on Monday and will continue for the next 2 weeks. Please send in non-perishable items with your child.

Veteran's Day- We celebrated Veteran's day today with a special morning assembly. My dear friend and veteran, Taylor Campbell, came and spoke for the school and then came to 4th grade for a Q & A session. The students really enjoyed it :)

Math Quiz this Friday

Chapter 4 math test next Thursday - this will not go on this semester's report card.

Class Meetings- we start each Monday morning with a class meeting where we set goals for the week, pick class jobs, share special student news, and discuss any issues going on in the classroom and on the playground.  The past few weeks we have discussed two big topics: Food and Rough Play.

Some students expressed that they feel pressured to share food at lunch. Students really should not be sharing any food at lunch or asking their friends to give them food.  They know this now, so hopefully it will not be an issue in the future.

We've also been discussing "rough play" on the playground. This continues to be an issue among the boys in the class. I don't think any of them have bad intentions, and it is very clear to me that they care a lot about each other, but we want to ensure that no one gets hurt.  Please reiterate these rules at home.
