Announcements
Information about Parents in Prayer, After School Hoops, and the SJA Bocce Ball Tournament is coming home TODAY in your child's yellow homework folder.

Please check your child's yellow folder and HW planner each afternoon for this next week - I will go over policies and procedures next week at Back to School Night.

Students checked out novels in library today for their first book report. They should start reading it at home this week to see if they like it. Their free choice book report novel needs to be brought to school and approved by me by next Friday 9/9.
Criteria: novel needs to be at their reading level and they cannot have already it before. The novel needs to be finished by 10/11 so that we can start writing the book report in class together.

Students have their first Wednesday Writing assignment for homework tonight. Please review the criteria for writing a "4th grade paragraph" with your child tonight (glued into their writing journal).

Seat Sacks-  In 4th grade we use "seat sacks" to help us organize our desks. I apologize for not having this on the supply list but I've ordered the seat sacks and they are $12 each.  If this is an issue for your family financially, please let me know and we can work something out! Thank you :)

I look forward to seeing all of you at Back to School Night next week!

Thank you,
Lexie Clemens
